Ways to develop the role of a faculty member in promoting the value system of Palestinian university students in light of the challenges of globalization
Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of uncovering ways to develop the role of the faculty member in promoting the value system of Palestinian university students in light of the challenges of globalization. The study used two tools: a questionnaire consisting of (44) items distributed into three areas represented in the role of the faculty member in consolidating scientific values Social values and personal values, and the questionnaire was applied to a sample of Palestinian university students, whose number reached (100) students, and an interview was held with a sample of (8) faculty members to develop their role in promoting values in light of the challenges of globalization, and the study reached conclusions, including that The role of faculty members in establishing scientific, personal and social values was to a small degree and with relative weight (46.20%), and the results showed that there are no statistically significant differences in the responses of the study sample individuals due to the study variables (gender, academic level, college) and the study recommended that a portion should be allocated From evaluating faculty members to the degree of strengthening the value system, highlighting the effects of globalization, and training faculty members to develop plans and strategies that help them effectively contribute to consolidating the value system among students, and training them on the effects of Globalization concerns the educational field, directing part of the research activities and graduation projects for students towards the topic of values, the challenges of globalization and its repercussions on society.
